Common impregnating agents for graphite materials
Graphite materials are porous materials. The porosity of graphite is generally around 15%-20%. In order to improve the bulk density, impermeability, lubricity, strength and other special properties of the product, graphite products still need to be impregnated.
Common impregnating agents are:
1. Coal tar, anthracene oil, coal pitch
2. Artificial resin
3. Metals or alloys
4. Grease
5. Inorganic compoun
6. Other impregnating agents such as PTFE, molybdenum disulfide, sodium silicate, honey, etc.
